Early Menopause Signs and its symptoms

As a woman, I can imagine you have probably never seen anything about early menopause signs, or perhaps you have only heard about it on TV. There are a few things that can cause menopause in a woman younger than 45 years old, and we are about to describe early menopause signs.

Early menopause is when a woman who is not in 40´s or any menopause age starts experiencing all of early menopause symptoms, usually called premenopause. You might be thinking what can cause menopause in a 25 year old woman…that is what I will discuss in here, as this health problem is very interesting for all women, specially the younger ones. In general terms, early menopause is premenopause (meaning: total cessation of your periods for 12 months) before the average age of 45. Whenever the early menopause symptoms show up in a woman´s body, she requires treatment immediately, as anything that cause menopause can be changed.

I will start mentioning what is exactly menopause and premenopause: premenopause, usually referred to as perimenopause, is the stage of a woman’s life just before the onset of menopause, which is when a female’s menstrual cycle permanently stops, meaning that this woman stops producing estrogens. When premenopause shows up it comes along with a variety of early menopause signs, such as menstruation irregularities, and there are some specific aspects that can cause premenopause. So, as you can see, none of the factors that can cause menopause are controlled by our diet or anything like. Usually a cancer surgery can cause menopause at a later time, or an unexpected ovarian failure can cause menopause when you least expected it, allowing the early menopause signs to show and cause menopause.

Doctors usually recommend many treatments to deal with premenopause and with early menopause signs with exercise, Prozac or other medication for the mood changes, a calcium rich diet to compensate the lack of estrogens and avoid osteoporosis and keeping a healthy diet.

However, we are not here to discuss the menopause treatments, but to analyze the reasons why a young woman can experience early menopause signs and the early menopause symptoms, as well as summarizing what can cause menopause in a woman. The most common early menopause symptoms are as follows: premature ovarian failure, surgery or cancer treatments, perimenopause and a reduction of ovarian reserve.

If a woman under 45 starts experiencing menopause symptoms is still ovulating and has her hormone levels tested at normal levels, she will probably be told she is in early menopause symptoms.  Nevertheless, it is very possible that she is actually experiencing premenopause instead. As a matter of fact, when people talk about menopause they are referring to perimenopause, since this is the time when a woman first begins noticing hot flashes, night sweats, changes in her period, mood swings, and all of those early menopause symptoms.

If you are a woman less than 45 years old and you have been experience any of the early menopause symptoms or premenopause specified in this article you have to talk to your doctor immediately to get the appropriate treatment and compensate your body, as this process includes “loses” for your body. Remember that the early menopause signs require some adjustments on your lifestyle as well in order to recover your body from any health problem.

It is very important to read and ask to the doctors before jumping to conclusions when noticing early menopause signs, as some people tend to confuse premenopause with early menopause signs by mistake, you try to make sure of what you are seeing, if it’s whether early menopause signs or something else.

Early menopause signs are simply signals of the upcoming early menopause symptoms, which should normally happen during a woman’s late 40′s to early 50′s (anything earlier than that is considered an early menopause scenario).

Some of the most common early menopause signs of menopause may include: changes in monthly cycle, mood swings, irritability headaches, chronic fatigue, depression, aches and pains, cramps, changes in body hair, yeast infections, changes in sleep pattern, and loss of interest in love life, water retention, vaginal dryness, and fluctuations in blood sugar.

I know it might be very hard for a young woman to hear her doctor saying: yes, you are going under early menopause signs, but that does not mean she is less of a woman, less desirable, or somehow diminished.  She is and will always be a young woman with capabilities, dreams, and strengths, so the only thing that has changed is her reproductive system and a woman is definitely much more than that!
